This Festival runs from 19 October to 30 October 2020 although the static content will be live for 1 week after the event.

We’ve adapted our popular careers fairs into a new and innovative virtual offering which we call Focused Festivals. Encompassing a range of career options, you’ll be able to take part in engaging virtual activities, interact with industry professionals and learn what knowledge, attributes, skills and experiences you want to develop to build success in your career journey.

Focus on Law is our signature event for students and recent graduates interested in the legal sector. King's College London has an outstanding reputation for the study and research of law, and our Festival is one of the largest law careers events of its type in the country. The event is open to students across all faculties and disciplines – did you know that often half the Training Contracts available are offered to students not studying law?

By attending the Festival, you’ll get to meet employers at our virtual stands to discover what careers and roles are out there, learning how others built success, and gain insight to the everyday life of working in corporate law, at the bar, in-house and other related areas. You’ll also have opportunities to attend educational workshops to enhance your knowledge on a range of industry-related topics, for example how the legal sector is adapting in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. You can speak to recruiters, trainees, associates and partners who are looking for talent and hear about vacancies which may include insight days, vacation schemes, training contracts, mini-pupillages, pupillages and internships.

Wherever you are on your career journey, our Focused Festivals are a fantastic opportunity for King’s students to learn about a particular set of industries. You’ll discover what’s out there, focus your career plans and get to know the different organisations and what the industry culture is like. If you are looking to take action towards your next steps after King’s, you will be able to enhance your understanding of recruitment and assessment processes – a great way to gain a head start on your graduate job search!
